Grass
plants require nutrients to promote healthy growth. When
The Turf Doctor laid your lawn, an initial application
of fertiliser was added. This has provided the nutrients
to give the young grass seedlings a healthy start. Once
your lawn is established, you should continue to apply
fertiliser on a regular basis. Regular applications of
fertiliser containing nitrogen(N), potasium(K), iron(Fe)
and phosphorus(P) will ensure healthy grass plants and
a top quality lawn. We would recommend a high quality
slow release fertiliser. If
your grass turns a "yellow-green" and lacks
vigour - it is nitrogen
deficient and needs fertilising. The nitrogen will generate
lush green leaves and a shorter stronger root system.
Phosphorus and Potasium facilitate energy storage and
helps regulate respiration. They will help the plant grow
and resist desease. Iron helps to control moss and weeds.
